Abstract submissions

  • Abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations are welcome until the May 1 deadline.
  • Symposium and workshop submissions are also welcome until the May 1 deadline, and those should be submitted using the separate link below. Each individual presentation within a proposed symposium must also be submitted as a unique abstract.
  • Program Committee decisions will be sent by June 1.
  • Meeting registration is required to present talks or posters. The final deadline is June 15 to be on the program, but you can register now and get a refund if your plans change.
The Program Committee welcomes abstracts for consideration for oral or poster presentation as well as symposia or workshops at the International Society for Evolution, Medicine and Public Health 8th Annual Meeting, August 14-17 in Irvine, California.  Abstracts,  symposia, and workshops will be selected by the Program Committee based on academic and/or clinical relevance.

Notification about abstract acceptances will be sent out by June 1. Meeting registration, a separate process, is required for consideration of abstracts. Registrations cancelled at least 14 days before the meeting will receive a full refund (except for processing fees).

Each individual may only present a maximum of one talk + one poster, regardless of whether that talk is part of a symposium or open session. Participation/leadership of a workshop or discussion session does not count towards this maximum.

Abstracts for talks and posters in the following categories are welcome:

  • Oral presentation preferred, also consider for a poster presentation
  • Poster presentation only
  • Oral presentation only
  • Presentations submitted as a part of a proposed symposium/workshop/discussion

Use this form to submit your abstract for a talk or poster.

Proposals for Symposia, workshops, and discussions are also welcome.

Symposium and workshop organizer applicants should focus on a hot topic that would significantly enrich evolutionary medicine themes, and include the names and addresses of two to four speakers/presenters/leaders who have agreed in principle to attend the conference and participate in your proposed symposium or workshop should the proposal be accepted. Each individual presentation within a proposed symposium must also be submitted as a unique abstract. This is optional for workshops and discussions which may or may not be separated into unique talks.

Use this form to submit your proposal for a symposium, workshop, or discussion group.
