The main venue for the Conference talks is on the main Science Campus (Lower Mountjoy) Calman Learning Centre which is Building Number 43 on the campus map. The building is shown in the picture opposite. |
Grey College dormitories are near the main Science Campus and is Building number 8 on the campus map, about a five minute walk from the Calman Centre. |
Durham Cathedral is the venue for the Tuesday evening reception and is unmissable in the City as it sits atop one of the highest points, near Building no 58 on the map. |
Hatfield College (the location of the Wednesday night celebration of evolutionary medicine books published by Oxford University Press, is in the Bailey (the area near the Castle and Cathedral). This is building number 20 on the campus map |
The Botanic Gardens are just to the south of Grey College about a 10-15 minute walk south of the Calman Learning Centre and main conference venue. It is number 7 on the map. The closest entry point is via Hollingside Lane next to Grey College. |
The Oriental Museum is number 3 on the map to the south of Grey College and about a 15-20 minute walk from the Calman Centre |
The Dawson Building is the site where the Palaeopathology Lab will be open on Thursday afternoon. This is Building number 41 on the map and it is just opposite the Calman Learning Centre. |
The Chemistry Building is the venue for the movie night. This is just opposite the security booth on the road shown in the picture. It is Building number 15 on the Campus Map. |
Durham Castle is the venue for the Friday night banquet and is just opposite the Cathedral on Palace Green. This is another unmistakeable building visible from many parts of Durham. It is number 23 on the map. |
