Getting to and around Irvine

The Beckman Center is located near three major airports: Los Angeles International (LAX), Long Beach (LGB) and Orange County/John Wayne (SNA).

The Beckman Center is approximately 3 miles/5 Km from SNA. LAX is approximately 45 miles/72 Km and LGB is approximately 25 miles/40 Km from the Beckman Center.

Most hotels provide complimentary shuttle service from SNA. Check the listings for hotels below or contact the hotel directly for arranging shuttle service.

Availability of public transportation in southern California is much less than in other parts of the U.S. or the world. Autos are the fastest way to travel but also the most expensive. Travel times between LAX and LGB can vary greatly depending on traffic conditions. Plan accordingly, especially if you are leaving from either of these two airports.

If you don’t rent a car, the easiest way to get around the Irvine area is by taxi or Uber/Lyft. We are currently working with hotels to see if they can provide shuttles to and from the Beckman Center. We will update this information as it becomes available in the description for each hotel.

Rate per bedroom suite is $209 per night plus taxes (the regular rate is $327 per night).  Rates available from Sunday, August 12 through checkout on Friday, August 18. This hotel does not have free shuttle service to Orange County Airport or to the Beckman Center. If enough people book at this site, we will consider finding a shuttle service for hire. There also is a charge for internet access, although members of Marriott's Bonvoy Guest program will receive free basic internet access (you can sign up to become a member by clicking here.
