Getting to Your Final Destination

Services from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)

There are two airports located around Toronto. The most frequently utilized one is the Toronto Pearson International Airport (click here for the airport map). This airport is a ~35 minute drive from the conference venue. You may opt to take a taxi directly to your hotel or Hart House. Alternatively, there is the UP Express which will take you to Union Station (downtown Toronto). Union Station has a connecting subway line (TTC) that you can take to get to your hotel. Services from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ)

This is the second airport, located close to Union Station and the University of Toronto. If you arrive at this airport, you may take a taxi directly to the hotel/conference venue. Alternatively, there are shuttle buses that run from Billy Bishop to Union Station. From Union Station, you may connect to the subway line (TTC) to get to your final destination. Services from VIA Rail

VIA Rail trains arrives directly in Union Station. Within the station, you may directly connect to a TTC subway line to get to your final destination, or travel by taxi services. VIA Rail requires purchased tickets; you cannot use a PRESTO card for VIA Rail.

TTC Subway Line

Union Station is part of Line 1. The University of Toronto Campus is located along Line 1 at the following stations: Queen's Park, Museum*, St. George, and College Station. Please use navigation apps to understand how to connect from the subway line to your final destination, if using public transit. The following image provides the subway route for Line 1. Conference attendees are advised to stay along the University portion of Line 1 (towards Vaughan), as shown by the stations that are on the left of Union Station.

*Hart House (the conference venue) is a 2-3 minute walk from Museum.

The PRESTO Card

If you will be using the UP Express to get to and from the airport and/or be using the Toronto subway, please consider buying a PRESTO card. With a PRESTO, you can use it to tap on and tap off everywhere to get to your destination. Using a PRESTO card also makes trips cheaper.
